Our favorite day of the year! Brunswick PorchFest is a free annual music festival that takes place on front porches throughout the Old Town Historic District in Downtown Brunswick and was started in 2018 as a way to bring local musicians/performers and the neighborhood together to celebrate and create a sense of community. This "choose your own adventure" music festival is held on the second Sunday in November and runs from noon to 6 PM. All afternoon, at the top of each hour, there will be a new set of performances that take the "stage" on different porches to perform to the public.
Please note, all performers are graciously donating their time for this event, so let them know you enjoyed their performance by tipping them!
Brunswick PorchFest is very much a family-friendly event. Bring the grandparents, while you're at it!
Yes! Although our performers, porch hosts, and planning committee volunteer their time and talents, producing a free-to-the-public event at this level takes significant resources. You can help! Please consider sponsoring or donating to our event to help cover the costs of the infrastructure needed to host the event. Resources like lighting, tents & tables, sanitation, parking shuttles, printing & advertising, public safety support and administrative expenses are necessary to ensure our guests have a safe and comfortable time at the event. No donation is too small (or too large)!
To help keep Brunswick PorchFest safe and enjoyable for everyone, we will be limiting golf cart access in certain areas of the festival. Designated golf cart parking zones will be available for your convenience.
Please check out the app and look for signage and maps on-site to guide you to the appropriate parking areas and help you navigate the festival routes safely.
We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in making this a great event for all!
This year's Kid Zone brought to you by SPARK, A Golden Isles Children’s Museum, and will be located in Hanover Square.
SPARK’s Kids Corral is an immersive play experience for ages 1 and up. Explore history, the arts, and ecology through storytelling, fun crafts, and hands-on mini-exhibits during this pop-up museum at PorchFest. Children can create art, dig up a piece of gnome history, navigate a marshland obstacle course, or grab an instrument to play on the front porch during their own PorchFest performance.
Children MUST be attended by a guardian.
Bikes, little red wagons, lawn chairs, blankets, and coolers are encouraged. If it looks like it will rain, bring your raincoat or umbrella, or even a pop-up tent, because bands will still be playing on our porches.
Pack it in and pack it out. Enjoy strolling around our neighborhood, but please leave only your footprints behind. Thank you in advance for respecting our historic squares, our street medians, and our neighbors’ properties!
Tip the performers! Please bring a pocket full of small bills to tip EACH band you see! It's their only compensation. We have also provided payment links - like Venmo, PayPal and CashApp - for many of the performers you will see on the Brunswick PorchFest App. These links are found on the performer pages accessed from the 'Performers' button on the home screen. Not all performers will have these buttons. Please use your cash for those that don't have them.
This is a walking / biking / (limited) golf cart event! And there will also be a FREE trolley helping folks get from one side of the event to the other. There are many large parking areas between Downtown and Glynn Academy, just a couple of blocks north of Old Town.  Please find parking in one of those lots. From there, you can easily walk or take our trolley to your first porch where your music-filled afternoon will begin!
Limited ADA parking will be available next to the Glynn Academy tennis courts at the northeast corner of Wright Square.
If you need to park an RV or a vehicle with a trailer, you should find longer parking spaces along Bay Street near Downtown.
PUBLIC STREET CLOSURES DURING PORCHFEST (with exception for residents, performers, and emergency vehicles):
• Union Street between Monck Street and 1st Avenue
• all roads surrounding Halifax Square
Please visit the Brunswick PorchFest app for more details on Parking.
There will be a large variety of Food Vendors located around Halifax Square across from The Brunswick Manor. You can have lunch, dinner, or both! Drink vendors will be located in the median of Prince Street in Halifax Square. Visit the Map on the Brunswick PorchFest app for precise locations.
You are subject to any laws pertaining to alcohol consumption while you are attending this event. Glass containers are prohibited.
Portapotties will be located in Halifax Square, Wright Square, Hanover Square, Satilla Square, and along Union and Dartmouth Streets.  There will be bathrooms and a diaper changing station available at First Presbyterian Church on the corner of Union & George Streets.
ADA portapotties will be located in Halifax Square.
2025 theme is "Gnome on the Range"! You’ll notice some of our neighbors will have fun decorations because they are participating in our porch decorating contest. Also, feel free to dress up yourself!

We love to see this event from your perspective!
Did you know it rained at our very first PorchFest? We can 100% confirm the event is still fun in the rain!
Brunswick PorchFest will be happening, rain or shine. However, performers will have the option to participate or not. Their equipment is expensive, and we 100% leave it up to them whether they cancel or forge ahead. So please be flexible, if it rains.
Please reach us at porchfestbwk@gmail.com if you cannot find an answer to your question.
